Delete your data
This page explains how to have your data from the Lotus Letters app (published by DRS Auto Group, Inc.) deleted. You don't need an account, and there's no charge.
Delete it in the app
- Open Lotus Letters and tap Settings on the home screen.
- Tap Delete my challenge data, then Delete to confirm.
- Everything listed under “What we delete” is removed from our server straight away.
This works on the phone you played on. If you've reinstalled the app since, or played on another phone, email us instead.
Or ask us by email
- Email support@lotusletters.app with the subject “Delete my data”.
- Tell us your display name in the app. Display names aren't unique, so it helps if you can also give a challenge code you've used, or the names of a couple of friends you've played.
- We'll confirm by email once your data has been deleted.
What we delete
Everything our server holds about you:
- Your anonymous player ID
- Your display name
- Your challenges and live matches, including your results and the words you found
- Your wins, losses and streaks
- Your “Open to challenges” status and live match check-ins
- Your notification token, if you allowed notifications
- Players you've blocked, and reports you've made or that were made about you
Matches you played with someone else are removed from their history too, and you'll no longer appear in their friends list.
What we keep
Nothing that identifies you. Our hosting provider's routine short-term logs and backups are cleared automatically on their normal schedule.
How long it takes
In the app, it's deleted straight away. By email, we delete your data within 30 days of your request, and usually much sooner. If we can't find your data from the details you send, we'll write back and ask for more.
Data on your phone
Your solo progress, coins, settings and avatar are stored only on your phone and never reach us. To delete them, uninstall Lotus Letters, or go to Settings > Apps > Lotus Letters > Storage and tap Clear storage.
Tip: delete your challenge data in the app before you uninstall. Uninstalling removes your player ID from your phone, so the app can't delete it for you afterwards. We can still find your data from your display name and friends if you email us.
